General

  • Where can I register for a ConferenceCard?
    You can register for an individual ConferenceCard at this website: Register now. To register for more than one ConferenceCard or a one-month free trial, please call 0800 0156 (from outside the Netherlands +31 88 11 88 770) or send an e-mail to conferencing@kpn.com.

Rates

  • How much does the ConferenceCard cost?
    The monthly subscription fee for the individual ConferenceCard (Register for individual ConferenceCard) is €15.00. The conference call charge is €0.15 per participant per minute, payable by the chairperson. This includes unlimited use of KPN Webconferencing and international dial-in numbers in Western Europe and the USA (Global Access). Each participant pays for the use of their own mobile telephone. No other charges apply. Other rates apply when multiple cards are purchased (volume contract).
  • How am I billed for the use of the ConferenceCard?
    Costs are invoiced once every two months (or monthly, as preferred) on a separate invoice. Participants only pay for the use of their own telephone.
  • Do I pay the charges for all of the participants?
    Yes, the chairperson pays the charges for all of the participants. Participants only pay for the use of their own telephone.

Usage

  • How do I set up a Conference Call?
    Arrange a date and time with the participants and send them the dial-in number and entry codes.
  • How do I conduct a secure Conference Call?
    The conference call can only be accessed by entering the agreed code. KPN recommends entering *4 once all participants are present. This will lock the conference to new participants. Dial 1# to check the number of participants to the conference.

    Highly confidential conferences can be secured with an additional entry code. The chairperson can compile a code containing 1 to 10 digits, which they must send to the participants along with the regular entry code prior to the conference. At the start of the conference, the chairperson can set the additional entry code by dialling 4#. Participants will be required to first enter the regular entry code followed by the additional entry code to be granted access to the conference. A new additional entry code is set for each conference.
  • Can I share a presentation (visuals) during a conference call?
    Yes, webconferencing allows remote presentations and application sharing in real time via a secure internet connection. Webconferencing is a standard feature of the individual ConferenceCard (Register for individual ConferenceCard).
  • Can I also use the ConferenceCard to meet with a large group of people?
    KPN’s ConferenceCard can be used for meetings involving up to 40 people. However, experience has shown that meeting with over 15 people has an adverse effect on the quality of the meeting. Our Conferencing service Event Call is designed specifically for meetings for large groups of people.

International

  • Does the ConferenceCard also allow people from outside the Netherlands to take part in meetings?
    Yes, participants from anywhere in the world can use a dial-in number in their country of residence, saving them additional call charges. After dialling in, everything else is the same as with dialling in from the Netherlands: the user only needs to enter the entry code. You can choose from an standard list of countries (Global Access) and an extended list of countries (Global Access Extra).
  • Are local dial-in numbers available for dialling in from outside the Netherlands?
    The countries for which local dial-in numbers are available depend on the selected contract type. Global Access gives you access to dial-in numbers in approximately 12 countries, while Global Access Extra gives you access to dial-in numbers in over 60 countries. The Dutch dial-in number can be called at any time.

Operator Assistance and Customer Service are available:
  • from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on working days;
  • from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays; and
  • from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Opening hours on official public holidays:
  • Closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day;
  • Saturday opening hours (from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday and Boxing Day; and
  • Regular opening hours on Good Friday, King’s Day and Liberation Day.
